OUR MISSION

Our MerConcept mission dedicates passion and know-how to  an innovative, efficient and sustainable offshore racing operation. Driven by the desire to push the limits of what is possible and to realise and share the most daring dreams, we imagine, build and develop exceptional boats. Convinced that progress must be meaningful, MerConcept engages in inter discipline knowledge transfers to serve the evolution of the maritime world of tomorrow. It is part of our fundamental approach that respects women, men, the planet and the oceans.

Work for an innovative, efficient and sustainable Ocean Racing

Support all sailors and members of the MerConcept team in their sustainable development goals.

Collaborate with offshore racing stakeholders and support the progress of the entire industry. Co-create positive and innovative projects with our partners.

Promote gender equality in ocean racing.

Give meaning to progress

Explore alternative materials and processes to reduce the impact of the construction and use of boats in a measurable and scientific way.

Create bridges so that the progress made on racing yachts serves the evolution of the maritime world.

Be respectful of women, men, the planet and the oceans

Measure, analyse and reduce our environmental impacts. Communicate the numbers in a transparent, inspiring and engaging way. Focus on renewable energies and enhance our natural resources. Foster a healthy, inclusive and fair work environment. Invest in the local economy and work with local actors for the wellbeing of the harbour and the community.

OUR MISSION COMMITTEE

The Mission Committee, appointed by us and representative of the MerConcept ecosystem, allows us to monitor the progress of our projects in connection with the orientation of our commitments.

THE BLUE TEAM

‘The Blue Team’ brings together around ten employees from all of MerConcept’s departments: design office, production, cross-functional.

Their objectives are to initiate changes in the company to improve our impact in the way we work.

Challenge, team spirit, sustainability; these are the identity values on which the Blue Team relies to achieve the set objectives.

The projects are diverse and generally encompass societal and environmental issues, namely: waste management, employee safety and wellbeing, the company’s carbon impact, knowledge sharing to improve alternative materials, among others.
