Who are we?
OCEAN RACING, OUR TRADITIONAL CORE BUSINESS
MerConcept has been using the wind to power its boats and sail around the planet since 2006 by assisting ocean racing projects which bring people together and inspire them. Today, MerConcept is a mission-driven company and is convinced of the need to give direction to progress. MerConcept has created a sustainable innovation laboratory to provide its R&D with the resources it needs and to feed the creation of a maritime mobility division. With the ability to reinvent ourselves in order to meet the most complex technological and environmental challenges, we design, construct and pilot the boats of the future at the heart of our base in Concarneau in Southern Brittany.
As a performance and innovation integrator, MerConcept sets its passion and know-how to work to develop and deploy solutions which respond to its core purpose: to realise the dream of travelling the oceans in a sustainable way.
As the interface between partners and all stakeholders (architects, builders, energy specialists, ocean-lovers, etc.), MerConcept is able to operate across the full value chain, from design to construction, to project management. Highly attentive to our contacts and as close as possible to their needs, we are committed to both general management and the development of specific technological solutions, supported equally by the skills of our team and the experience of our partners.

4 centres, 65 people, one location
Our team is made up of over 65 passionate people from a wide range of backgrounds, with precise know-how and trades which complement each other, but who all share the same DNA: to imagine, construct, develop and assist innovative, high performance projects with meaning.
In addition, in the technical development phases or in major operations, the MerConcept team brings in outside skills by calling on service providers.
